a facilitated space and an experiment in crafting care webs
CUDDLE PUDDLE / CUDDLE GROUND is an anti-racist queer- trans- and disabled-run space where consent is centred, touch is possible and we can melt into cuddle puddles or other pleasant and restorative shapes and activities of our liking (colouring books, stimming, stretching, somatic practices, gentle movement, and more). at no point you are expected to touch anyone!
by practicing rest together and creating touch possibilities, we refuse systemic isolation, widespread touch starvation and limiting thinking that intimacy only has place in romantic couples. we want to call in consent education, moving at the speed of trust and (s)kinship.
we practice for the world we want to create, held by ideas of liberated consent, generative somatics, Transformative Justice, harm reduction and valuing rest + spirit + intuitive knowledge (read our glossary below).
it is a space to relax, rest, ground in your body around other people. it is an opportunity to co-regulate with other humans and build connections. unlike most spaces in the world, we actively distigmatise alternative relational structures and touch needs. all in the beautifully peaceful Silk studio in Brighton.
